There is no law prohibiting shipping guns for service work. The laws only apply if you’re buying or selling a gun.
1. Write out complete letter of instructions. Be sure to include return address. Guns will not be shipped back to you uninsured, so tell us the amount you want your gun insured for when we return it. If unable to determine payment, we will bill you before return shipment is made, or we can ship C.O.D (cost is $11.00). Attach the letter directly to the gun. (Do not mail letter separately).
2. Be absolutely certain gun is unloaded. Roll up in newspaper and place in sturdy cardboard carton. Be sure packaging is tight enough that gun cannot “shuffle” around in the box. You can ship your gun in a hard gun case if you have one. We will return your gun to you in your hard case if you ship it in a case.
3. Send the complete gun. We will need the magazine, sights, fire control mechanism, and stock to test your gun after repairs are completed. Scopes should be removed but leave the scope bases on the gun. If the gun is received without essential parts they will be provided and billed as part of the repair.
4. Ship your gun to us by insured UPS or FedEx. We will return your gun to you insured for the value you set.
